Demographic data is statistical data that describes a population. This includes the kind of information collected by the U.S. Census, such as age, race, income, marital status, disabilities, education, home ownership, employment status, etc. Demographics use statistics to describe the residents of your community. Think about demographics that describe the people of your community, but don’t forget to look at the county and state demographics that also may apply. Have these demographics changed, or have they remained much the same over time?
