Government and Politics: Who represents your community in Congressional, State, County, and local government matters? Does your community have a mayor and a council, or some other form of local government? What kind of revenue is generated through taxes in your community? Is it enough to offer necessary services? What is the political makeup of your community (i.e. which political parties are present)?

U.S. House of Representatives by State

U.S. Senators

North Carolina General Assembly Representation lists information about State Senators and Representatives, as well as district maps.

North Carolina Office of the Governor

State Sales and Use Tax can indicate how much tax revenue is generated in your community. Taxes pay for government services at all levels.

North Carolina State Board of Elections is the place to find your County Board of Elections for local government information (County Commissioners, Mayors, Town Councils, etc.).
